FUTURE PAPUA NEW GUINEA..

I see on the distant horizon, a wave approaching Papua New Guinea. It is a wave of the future and it is surely breaking on the shores of Papua New Guinea. It carries with it a great hope and inevitability where the People will be governed by the People, plotting a path to their own destiny, having full control of the steering wheel and the rudder even.

The politician
and political creature will be historic anecdotes, fossils even, urban legends, mere things of the past. Here a new world will emerge whereby modern technology will provide guidance and surveillance, monitoring, enforcement, administration and punishment...there will be transparency and retribution will be swift, resources and assets carefully managed by consensus.

Guided by a population of educated and intelligent citizens, assisted by groups and individuals who have vast global networks and influence, locally, regionally and internationally. Papua New Guinea will not only see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it will be that light, a beacon of hope for the Pacific and a model for environmental conservation and concern for the world, its people, keepers of the vast rainforest resources that will draw visitors from throughout the world who will arrive to marvel at the exotic flora and fauna that abound and teem and flourish. Papua New Guinea will be a great contributor to the earth’s cleansing, a gift from its 1000 tribes to the rest of the world and its future generations in true keeping with its Melanesian spirit of giving, sharing and caring.

Now leaders will emerge who will stand up with the people rather than be on pedestals expecting to be revered. With their people they will walk and work, protect and promote the philosophy of sharing, of giving. In consultation with their people, they will seek to devise and develop strategies and plans, tactics and manuals on how to profit their future generations and the environment. They will no longer care to hoard or steal, they will refrain from the evil to accumulate and gather for themselves or theirs only.

In PNG, we will witness this rapid change for the better sooner rather than later. Evidence of it is already visible and the relevant signs of a people moving as one, coordinating and gathering to bring about this change is already very real.

The catch phrase of this future Papua New Guinea will be "WE CAN". The People can bring it about and will bring it about...

As this occurs, vital and relevant organs shall be developed and put into motion and coming forth will be those amongst the people, who possess and willing give of their talent and the skills necessary, technical and specific, management and technocratic experts, to drive the agendas of the nation to the fore....There will be at first an effort to resist the changes that are taking place but the wave will be too powerful, the forces that come together for the greater good will overwhelm the minor throes of futile resistance of the minority who fight to preserve the corrupt and unethical system that is withering and dying.

Corporate interest unleashed Globalization as its beast of burden with the intention of harnessing the world's resources to satiate its minority controlling elite but they will be unable to handle the inevitable power that rises from the people and Globalization, which is a beast that cannot be tamed by a few for their own selfish will and whim, its nature is such that it will serve the interests of the greater majority, those that want to and will see a world that benefits all. No longer will corporate interests ruling elite determine the future and retain control of the worlds renewable and non renewable resources, discovered and abused, or yet to be. The corporate elite will eventually join the politicians and be relegated to fossilization, historic mistakes that were needed to set the stage for a better world.

These changes will be by no means confined to Papua New Guinea. In fact, they will occur almost simultaneously throughout the world. The world, reeling from the current vicious tunes of profit and greed that emanate from world banking systems and financial institutions and the elitist minority who have for some time held the reins of the future in their grimy, blood soaked hands, will wrest itself free and will eject that minority so that it may survive and it may stem the destruction of its very being. Free from the mind numbing poison that captivated it, the world will seek out the People who in turn are seeking out a solution to their problems. They will find each other, the People and the Earth and trample on the ruling minority elite and dash their greed against the wall of inevitability and rescue the malnourished form of Democracy and revive its very organs: truth, freedom and equality.

Meanwhile in Papua New Guinea, in due time, the People will form their own system of managing their country, their economy by consensus and without a distinct structure of leadership but a powerful force that is confined by the interests and concerns of the greater majority to develop and manage and administrate within the parameters of what is just and necessary and wholesome for all. They will rise up as one and move as one, a powerful force that is at once leading and being led by themselves with those selected amongst them selves by agreement to be driving forces, though they too are being led by the greater force of the Peoples conviction.

The People can even structure the budget so that it benefits the People and pays for what is most urgent and necessary and dismiss what is ridiculous and outrageous and improper and wastage. The People can develop policies to propel PNG forward and beyond, devise regulations to manage their resources and can form groups to protect their collective interests and deter those who threaten their existence or their future.

They will be able to mold a future that is peaceful, habitable and productive for their children...

Every tree grew from a tiny seed, every great man or women, once crawled as a babe, every powerful river started as a small trickle...if you think carefully and focus, you will see that this is a movement taking shape, a movement of the People, for the People, a movement for change, change for the better...and we can bring it about, not politicians or bureaucrats, but you and I, we,

WE THE PEOPLE...Listen carefully, the wave of the future is breaking on the shores of Papua New Guinea…
