2012 election is a turning point for Agiru

FOR the very first time in the political history of Governor Anderson
Pawa Agiru, the Hela people’s favourite son; the 2012 National Election
was the beginning of a new era and a remarkable time for him, unlike
past elections where he has contested and won by big margins.
 In the
past elections when he contested and continuously won the Southern
Highlands Provincial seat; Hela has been undividedly giving him all the
support as he is the favoured leader.
 However, this year’s election
was one of those many I believe still yet to come where Agiru must have
felt it himself that Hela has given him divided support.
 Other
potential Hela leaders like Andy Kapa Kenamu, Larry Labe Andagali and
Iki Ricks Mamu pulled strings from all corners of Hela that caused him
to go into the last elimination to be decided as the winner and Andy
Kenamu was the runner-up.
If I’ am not wrong, for the very first
time in Agiru’s political history and victories within the Southern
Highlands Province; Andy Kapa Kenamu, another Hela’s son gave him a good
neck to neck chase in the Hela Provincial Seat, which I believe he will
 never forget.
I wish Agiru identifies his own weaknesses and
mistakes in Hela and improve on them to regain and maintain the
undivided support he once had from the vast Hela population in the good
old days.
