Prime Minister Peter O‘Neill announced on Saturday that the government was living
within its budget. He also announced that there was no deficit as stated by the
Opposition and other leaders. Mr ONeill however assured the people of PNG that
the K500million shortfall in the 2012 was due to low commodity prices on the
world market. He however said that the PNG government has already come up with a
strategic plan to rectify the problem.
