PNG head of election security says situation generally peaceful

Papua New Guinea's caretaker Prime Minister, Peter O'Neill, seems to have taken a commanding lead in his Southern Highlands home seat.
Although voting is continuing in much of PNG, counting has already started in some areas.
The ABC's Port Moresby bureau reports that Mr O'Neill has secured more than two thirds of the 11 thousand ballots counted.
As PNG enters week two of the polls, the Chief of Election Security Operations, Simon Kauba has denied reports of poll-related violence .. saying that the situation has generally been peaceful.
