Ex-combatants still holding Solomon Queen and two others in Buka

Solomon Queen at the wharf on Buka
Three sister ships of the now sunken MV RABAUL QUEEN are still berthed at Buka wharf whilst talks between Rabaul Shipping continues for the release of these vessels, reports New Dawn FM.
Yesterday a spokesmen for the grieving relatives of those who perished and Ex-combatant leader, John Angamata assured us that they would release the boats as soon as everything is sorted out between the shipping company.
He said they were on board the ships to provide security for the crews and the ships.
He said because of the tense situation the last thing they want to see is for some opportunists to use this situation to damage the ships.
Mr.Angamata said that they would meet again this morning to discuss the next course of action.
