All flights into Kundiawa in Chimbu Province will be temporarily suspended as of March 01st (Sunday).
In a media statement, Air Niugini says the temporary suspension will allow National Airports Corporation to carry out essential maintenance and upgrading of the runway.
The airline says all passengers who have been booked and issued with tickets are advised to re-route either via Mount Hagen or Goroka. No penalties will be charged for the changes.
Air Niugini says it regrets the inconvenience caused.
