Speaking on the people’s behalf, prominent leader Dickson Pu said Jiwaka Governor Dr William Tongamp pledged a new LLG, police station and high school for Kudjip Constituency during Kudjip Primary School graduation ceremony last year and it must be fulfilled.
Mr Pu said with the local level government council election nearing, the
provincial government must do something immediately for the betterment of the
people of Kudjip.
He claimed at the moment the people were confused whether they would vote for new council president for Kudjip Constituency or remain under South Wahgi LLG.
“We are now confused and are in doubt over the local level government council election and the provincial government must specifically inform the people,” Mr Pu said.
He said Electoral Commissioner Andrew Trawen had already issued the election dates and the people were looking to cast their votes while aspiring candidates were preparing to pay nomination fees to contest the election.

Mr Pu also referred to an article Mr Trawen reported in the other daily
newspaper that funding for the election still remained a problem because only
K50million was allocated.
“This is not our problem that we are going to discuss about and make an issue out of it.
We only want a new LLG for Kudjip Constituency,” Mr Pu said.
