UPNG Students petition over Fees and Capacity on Campus

Students at the University of Papua New Guinea will be petitioning their Administration over fees and capacity at the campus.
Two weeks into the start of the Academic year and the UPNG Student representative Council decided to hold the forum.

Issues raised are not new they’ve been plaguing the University from one administration to the next. From a shortage of dormitory space, lack of learning resources and the sudden increase in school fees.
With a new administration in place the students want the capacity problems resolved once and for all.
Regarded as a premier University in the South Pacific, it lacks Information technology services. The IT dilemma was exhausted during the forum.
The students accuse the former administration of mal administration.
One student pointed out too much concentration was put on fighting for National Issues. They have to fix their own backyard first.
Issues raised will be handed in a petition to the University Council.
