The money will be used to build the bridge which will enable easier access to
Erave High School for students. The other bridges to be built with the money are
Erave River Yalo Bridge and Lamami Bridge. He said the bridges would receive
K100, 000 each and asked the Department of Works (DoW) to help further fund the
bridges.
Meanwhile, the Minister for Works Francis Awesa, in thanking and receiving the money, assured the MP that the bridge was already at Mendi, ready to be transported to the district.

Mr Awesa said the K300, 000 would be used on the mobile transport to transport
the bridge.
And he appealed to all the MPs and the governors to work in partnership with the DoW to develop their electorate. He urged all MPs to buy machines and leave them at the DoW to take care of and also engage the engineers attached with DoW to supervise and work on the construction of roads and bridges in the country.
