Party Registrar: PNC and PP AMALGAMATE not MERGE

The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties says the Peoples National Congress and the Peoples Party are STILL two different parties.

The two parties merged recently but the office says they have not complied with statutory requirements.
 
The office also says the correct term for such an arrangement IS TO “AMALGAMATE” AND NOT “MERGE.”
