The National Government has spent 10 million Kina on activities for next month's visit by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall to Papua New Guinea.

Minister for Sports, Pacific Games and National Events Justin Tkatchencko says he's happy because the money was well spent to cater for all the activities including preparations of the visit.

He says they were able to save some of that money through sponsorships and assistance from corporate organizations and private companies, especially on transportation and vehicles.

Meanwhile, PNG Mobile company Digicel will be setting up phone houses in designated sites of the city where the royal couple will be visiting, as part of its major cleanathon program next week.

Mr Tkatchencko urged everyone to take part as Digicel will be giving away free top credits for every disposable bags full of rubbish.
