A Hagen family was held up this morning at the Malaoro market in the National Capital District after the CRV car they were driving was taken by a group of armed men.
The four men armed with a bush knife and what appeared to be a home-made pistol held up the mother and her two young sons aged 8 and 3.
The men made off with the car that also contained the woman’s bag which had about K600 in cash as well as her mobile phone and media pad.
The matter has since been reported to the Boroko police station.
NCD Central police commander Jerry Frank is warning city residents to always be mindful of their surroundings and take note of crowded places such as market places.
He says however that police will look into the matter.
