ALL levels of the government, including national, have to produce a corporate work plan before funds are allocated, Finance Minister James Marape said .
“Corporate work plans spell out what they have to achieve with their government budget appropriation in a certain period. It is a pre-requisite that they have to provide,” the minister said.
“If they don’t have it, we will not release their allocated funds.”
The tight rein on the national, provincial, district and local level governments comes as the minister clamps down on spending given the K2.6 billion deficit budget.
Marape, speaking at the launching of the Finance Department’s 2013 to 2015 corporate plan, website and signing of performance agreement in Port Moresby, said electorate funds nationwide would be released this week.
But some parliamentarians in the government’s faction told The National yesterday that they did not receive theirs.
