While he has taken many forms of measures to control the sale and consumption of betelnut in the last couple of years people keep on hindering his vision to make Port Moresby a clean, beautiful and safe city to live and work in.
Therefore, banning is the best option. Otherwise, I invite Governor Powes to come to Tabubil in Western Province the home of the giant Ok Tedi mine and see what he can learn from here.
This invitation also goes out to other leaders in other provincial towns.
This town is by far the cleanest town in all of PNG. Period! Even though its a little PNG with thousands of chewers of the nut you hardly see buai stains around the town or on foot paths which are all over the township.
This is so because of the tough measures being put in place by Ok Tedi Mining.
It has truly controlled the filth which is the result of irresponsible chewing.
N,B,N,
Tabubil.
