WILL O'NEILL-DION's K6BILLION PERMANENTLY PUT AN END TO HIGHLANDS HIGHWAY MESS?
HIGHLANDS HIGHWAY NEEDS AN AUTHORITY THAT WORKS: Having traveled the
Highlands Highway for a good number of times recently, the deteriorating
state of many portions of the road is slowing down the progress of the
nation as a whole and is costing businesses a fortune. It will and is
costing the government millions to fix whole sections when in fact, it
would have costed just a fraction to maintain when potholes start
forming or keeping the waterways and drainage clear EVERYDAY through the
National Road Authority (NRA). The failure and non existence of the NRA
is costing PNG a fortune; its slowing the progress of the most populous
region of the country and where major agriculture and mining/oil and
gas are centered.
