Undialu offers challenge to Koroba Secondary students

KOROBA Secondary School students have been put on notice to perform.
That was the challenge from new Koroba Lake Kopiago MP Philip Undialu during a recent visit to the school.
The new MP realises the hard-ships of the students and has pledged his undying commitment to bring much-needed tangible developments to the school.
However, in return Mr Undialu wants the students to give something back in return by showing some difference in their test results.
Mr Undialu said: “I will bring you uniforms, school books, re-build your classrooms, dormitories and other important facilities, but you must in return give us good reason by
scoring good results at the end of the year.”
“To ensure this you must also have discipline. This is a challenge not only to the students but to the school board management and staff to instil the level of discipline,” he said.
“This is a co-educational facility where you young people have been given the opportunity to be on your own to take charge of your own destiny.
“This is not time for boy-friend and girl-friend, we must set the foundation for the next generation by doing well now,” he added.
Mr Undialu further said that he wants to see students going onto tertiary level and making something worthwhile for themselves.
Koroba Secondary School principal John Male said he is more than appreciative of the visit and the inspirational comments by Mr Undialu.
“The onus is on us as administrators and the students to improve on our output,” he added.
Mr Male thanked Mr Undialu for his support and called on parents and students to show commitment to the school.
He said the school has struggled for many years and it was pleasing to see a first term MP come to the aid of the school.
The schools has over 500 students in grades 9 to 12.
