Mining areas among HIV/AIDS breeding grounds

It’s been revealed that there may be a dark side to the mineral boom in PNG. It came from PNG Medical Symposium’s Sexual Health Session.
Guest Speaker, Associate Professor Heather Worth of Australia says mining areas are among the breeding grounds for the HIV and AIDS epidemic in PNG.

Professor Worth urged the Government to seriously look into the issue. The charge; however, did not go down well with some mining companies.
