SOME time ago we heard the Grand Chief threatening
Wau-Bulolo MP Sam Basil to “kill him outside the parliament house” – but I think
we all know he did not mean to literally kill him.
How could he do that, at 75?
That was due to an angry Mr Basil telling some MPs something nasty about Arthur Somare.
Don Polye made the most horrible choice of words last Wednesday by implying that Sir Michael has been “cutting and chopping young leaders for hidden motives…”.
Mr Polye, please be careful with the words you use. The connotation of the words that you used to some people in certain parts of the country is what is causing all the problems in their villages and districts. Can we imagine the President of America or Prime Minister of Australia using such words in describing their opponents? Definitely not. The MPs have shamed us by using such words. They have brought the house to the gutters. They do not know that James 3.9 states: “The tongue is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.”
Their words tell a lot about their hearts. We are all watching.
